Freedom!

 My mom and I went to see the surgeon this past Friday for a check-up.

Here we are in the hospital wearing our one of many hospital bands waiting to have ex-rays done. 

We are FREE!!! No more braces! Well, for the most part. 

I get to take mine off for good. He said take it easy in my daily activities. 

I'm so used to wearing it to bed that I was worried about how sore I will be when I don't wearing it to bed. 

He said I could wear it every other night if I wanted to. I have tried 3 nights without it so far. 

I'm a little sore but I think I can handle it. I do have to go back in February for a CT scan though. But he said it's just to check everything a year from the accident. 

Mom isn't completely off of hers yet. He said she can start winging herself off which really surprised us! And surprised the doctor. He was so amazed to see how well mom is healing. 

Mom is more sore then I am of course. She did go to church without her brace yesterday and did really well.

She has to go back in January for her CT scan to make sure things are healing well from winging herself off. 

We are so happy to be free (for the most part) from the braces and doctor appointments! 

The doctor was really amazed by how well we are healing. 

He has been a amazing doctor in all this. He said he felt guided through the surgeries and that we were the two patients he was most worried about. How often do you get such a amazing doctor like that?

Thank you everyone for all the prayers and anything else you did to help us. 

We both feel truly blessed.
