Christmas 2011

Christmas in pictures. We did the opening of the presents a week early because my brother and his family were going to be out of town for Christmas. Christmas day we just hung around, ate, and played games.

The Dixie Stampede!

My mom wanted to get a Christmas present that everyone would like. So she bought tickets to the Dixie Stampede in Branson Missouri! So mom and dad rented a 8 passenger van and picked everyone up. It was so fun! We had 13 people in that van. We had movies going and laughing and just some good times. I couldn't take any pictures during the stampede so I took some before shots.
For those of you who don't know what the Dixie Stampede is, I'll explain. It's actually called Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede. When you walk in and give them your ticket, they take your picture, as a family, and then you can look around in the gift shop. If you are there early enough then you can watch the re-show which is usually a magician. Then you going in the stampede area. It's this big arena like thing, as shown below. One side is the South and the other side is the North. They serve you dinner of soup, rolls, corn on the cob, a small whole chicken, a piece of pork and half a potato and a apple turnover for dessert. There is no silverware so you have to use your hands. They do this thing where instead of clapping, because you would be eating, you just stomp your feet, like a stampede. The show is set up in the 1800's with live animals and cowboys and what not. They do contests between the North and South. We went to the Christmas show this time and they had a live Nativity scene. It was so cool! Anyways, then when it's all over, you go back in the gift shop or to go look at the horses that were in the show.

Got the whole family here. Even if it's just a small part.
This is where Hyrum sat most of the trip. His choice lol
We didn't know Michael and Nephi were in the background.
Sisters :)
Crazy faces!
Down the line. Waiting for the show to start.

Lights on the Square

I haven't seen my friend Ashley in 2 years! We finally got the time to get together and have lunch together. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Probably since the last time we were together. We had so much fun that we decided to go get our husbands and go see the lights on the Fayetteville Square. We both took our dogs and they were almost a bigger hit then the lights! That was so much fun that we went to Wendy's and then went bowling. It was nice hanging out again and we can't wait to do it again.
