Thanksgiving

The whole family got together for Thanksgiving this year! Except for Nephi, who is serving a two year mission in Peru.
Mom made a turkey AND a ham. The ham was amazing! I like ham better then turkey.
There were yummy desserts of course after the dinner that everyone couldn't wait to dig in to.
Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday. Not because of the food, but Thanksgiving is a special holiday to me. And it always will be.

The dinner table is all ready. We used paper plates because no one wanted to do the dishes afterwards Haha!

The kids watching a favorite movie

The pumpkin pies mom made! Mmm
I don't like pumpkin pie but they did smell good.

Digging into the desserts

A HOUSE!

We bought a house!
We are SOO excited that we are no longer rented and we found the house of our dreams.
It all happened kinda fast. My sister and mom were out walking one day and saw this house that was for sale. My sister called me up and told me about it and that we set up an appointment with the realtor to see it.
Right when I set foot into the house, I fell in love. This house is amazing! It has so much character and it fits us so well. We will be able to live here for a long time too.
There were a few snags as we were moving in, new gas line, fix water leaks, fix furnace and it needs a little but of paint and patch work inside but nothing will bring down our happiness.
The house was only on the market for about a week when we put in the first offer of $78,000, and got it!
It sits on 4 1/2 acres, has a giant 40/42 barn/shed in the backyard. (Jake is probably more happy about that than the house) It has a nice big back deck. Plenty of room for a garden, which I cant wait to plant in the spring. This house is perfect.
I am so thankful that we have been so blessed to have found this house. Especially after what we went through this past year. Heavenly Father has truly been watching over us.

The Koontz Couple

Mike and Mary are now married! It could not have been a more perfect day. The weather was sooo nice! Not too cold. A little windy but we still enjoyed it. Mary was a beautiful bride. Mike was handsome too I guess ;) They looked so happy and couldn't wait to start their lives together.
They were married in the Kansas City temple on November 9th for time and all eternity.

The Kansas City temple is so pretty!
All the temples are pretty really but this one quickly became on of my favorites.

Here are some snap shots I took with my camera.

Look at those shoes!

The wind made some really cool pictures with Mary's dress.

This picture is one of my favorites with the temple in the background.
Good luck guys! We all love you both!

Mike, break her heart and everyone will take turns breaking your face.
Just saying. ;)
