The Michael Jordan Gown

My mom had a little adventure last week. She was having severe stomach pain this past Thursday. Well, it wasn't her stomach, it was right above her stomach. It came on in the middle of the day and Mary and I were the only ones with her. She was getting worse by the minute and we didn't know what to do. My brother Hyrum stopped by after work and saw how much pain she was in and decided to stay. My dad rushed home after she started vomiting. When he got there, dad and Hyrum gave her a blessing immediately. Then we all knelt in prayer and prayed for an answer on what we should do. We all felt we should take her to the E.R. (It was too late at that time to take her to the little clinic) They did an ex-ray and couldn't see anything so they did a C.T. scan. That was when they saw that she had a blockage in her small intestine. The doctor said that she has adhesions from her scars from surgery, sticking to her small intestine which is keeping the intestine to move the way it's supposed to. They had her stay over night and gave her some medicine for the pain and some stuff to drink and within 4 hours the blockage was cleared.
I took her to her follow-up today. He said everything is looking good. But she is going to have this problem for the rest of her life so she needs to be careful with what she eats and drinks.
We are all so glad that she is much better. I was so scared and I'm grateful things went well.
Side note: This is a picture I took when we went to see her the next morning right before they released her. We were all laughing because they gave her a giant gown and it just looks funny on her, haha!
