My mom, my sister-in-law and I got together last Saturday and made laundry soap. We thought it was going to take forever but it took us 30 minutes! We made 15 gallons and it came out to about 75 cents a gallon! Can you believe it?! You can't beat that ANYWHERE! We are never buying soap again. And it was sooo easy!
1 quart of water (boiling)
2 cups of bar soap (grated)
2 cups of Borax
2 cups of Washing Soda
* Add grated bar soap to the boiling water and stir till the soap is melted. you can keep on low heat until soap is melted
* Pour the soap into a large clean pail or bucket and add the Borax and Washing Soda. Stir well until all is dissolved
* Add 2 gallons of water and stir until well mixed
* Cover pail or bucket and use 1/4 cut of soap for laundry. Stir soap each time you use it.
(it will gel)

Wow... I am glad you put that up. I missed the class they did over at the Stake Center. Thank you!
